SEN 1:1 Tutor – Hinckley Area

We are currently recruiting for a committed and empathetic SEN 1:1 Tutor to support pupils across the Hinckley area. This role focuses on delivering personalised education to young people who are unable to access mainstream schooling due to additional needs, learning barriers, or medical circumstances.

You will be working closely with pupils in their homes, schools, or alternative provision settings during school hours, helping to rebuild confidence and re-engage them with learning.

About the Role

As a SEN Tutor, you will:

• Provide tailored 1:1 tuition based on individual learning plans.
• Deliver engaging sessions that promote progress in core subjects.
• Support pupils with additional needs such as ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
• Encourage positive learning behaviours and build confidence.
• Regularly assess, record, and report on pupil progress.
• Work in partnership with parents, carers, schools, and external agencies.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
• Background in education, tutoring, teaching assistance, mentoring, or youth support.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A patient, consistent, and encouraging approach.
• Commitment to helping vulnerable learners achieve positive outcomes.

Desirable Experience

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in the UK.
• Experience delivering 1:1 tuition or intervention programmes.
• Knowledge of EHCP targets and SEN support strategies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
