A client school in Cwmbran are looking for an SEN teaching assistant to work in one of their KS2 classes as general support.
The role does not require specific teaching assistant or childcare qualifications; it is, however, essential that you have previous experience working with children, particularly who have additional needs. You will need to be an enthusiastic, caring and dedicated individual, who is passionate about working with children with additional needs. This work is a great way to gain experience in a wide variety of schools and building good relationship with both professionals and children.
What do you need to be successful?
- Experience of supporting young people with SEN on a general basis.
- You'll be driven to provide the best possible service to our students, whilst supporting the teaching staff
- The ability to manage and encourage students to become independent learners, supporting their welfare alongside their emotional and behavioural development
