General SEN support / Teaching Assistant required in Tameside - from September 2019

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a large, mixed secondary school in Tameside who are looking to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant on a full time temporary basis for general SEN support, starting in the new academic year (Sept 2019).

The head teacher of this Tameside secondary school are requiring the support of an SEN Teaching Assistant from the next academic year, to assist pupils with general and mild Special Education Needs (SEN) with a range of learning tasks, to ensure pupils are well prepared to reach their full potential in their studies from the start of the new school year.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your day to day responsibilities will vary but will mainly include supporting identified pupils with learning needs such as Dyslexia, Autism and EBD, across a range of core subjects, in smaller groups and on a 1:1 basis. The successful SEN TA will work closely with the pupils, maximising their engagement and have a flexible approach to learning.

The school is located just outside of Tameside, close to Ashton-under-Lyne, making it very accessible for those applicants who live in and around south Manchester. The school offer a secure, onsite car park or can be reached via local public transport links from central Manchester and Oldham.
