SEN Teaching Assistant (Secondary School) - Wythenshawe
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a dedicated and patient individual for an SEN Teaching Assistant position in a client secondary school based in Wythenshawe, starting in September.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will report to the inclusion manager of the secondary school and will provide tailored SEN support to pupils with needs such as; Autism (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia.
Responsibilities of this SEN Teaching Assistant role will include but not limited to;
- Working with pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis when required
- Promoting the learning and personal development of SEN pupils to ensure they have an equal opportunity in reaching their full potential in education.
- Assisting with pupils weaker areas e.g. speech and language, reading, spelling, numeracy, handwriting.
- Liaising with class teacher, the school SENCO and other professionals about individual education plans (IEPs)
- Helping to make appropriate resources to support the pupil
- Effectively implementing agreed behaviour management strategies
Key Aspects of the SEN Teaching Assistant role:
- Flexible, temporary role to work around your availability
- SEN support required for the full academic year (Sept - July)
- Earn up to £1200 a month
- Previous experience working with SEN and young people is essential to the role
