Teaching Assistant - SEN Support 

A mainstream primary school in North Liverpool, Fazakerley, are currently searching for a full time 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Reception pupil. The pupil is in in a mainstream classroom  and has diagnosed Global Development Delay and Autism. They can also be quiet and requires support with engagement with others

You will be working with the pupil on a 1-1 basis, supporting their learning and providing relative guidance where needed

The ideal person will have experience working as a TA in Reception and be confident supporting children with similar special educational needs.

The role is to start ASAP until the end of the academic year in July 2021.

This is an Ofsted graded 'Good' Primary School 


The role:

  • Full time
  • Hours approximately, 8:40am - 3:15pm 
  • GBP10 - GBP11 per hour
  • Start date: ASAP/ November 2nd 
  • Fazakerley L10 
  • 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant 
  • Reception Class


The tasks which a Reception SEN Teaching Assistant carries out can include:

  • Working with a Reception Class Teacher
  • Running interventions
  • Assisting with personal care when required 
  • Preparing materials, equipment and lessons
  • Assessing the individual learning needs of pupils
  • Liaising with parents, carers and other professionals who work with the pupils


To be considered for this position you must either be registered or be prepared to register with Teaching Personnel, to go through all of the necessary vetting procedures. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
