We have a fantastic opportunity available for a SEN Teaching assistant to join a SEN school based in Bury St.Edmunds for October. The school prides itself on providing an exciting and engaging learning environment for all pupils and this role gives you the opportunity to be an integral part of this fantastic school. 

The role would include aiding the teacher with the daily running of the classroom, monitoring the progress and development of the pupils, creating a fun and safe working environment whilst upholding the values of the school at all times. The role would also include 1:1 sessions with pupils with ASC during the afternoons of the school day, this would involve assisting with his school activities and providing them with reassurance and encouragement. You would also be required to run small group intervention sessions with a number of pupils who may benefit from additional support.

The ideal candidate would have:

• Experience working  with SEN pupils
• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in KS1/KS2
• Safeguarding experience
• A positive attitude to all aspects of work
• Child workforce DBS on the update service (we can help with this)
• Uk address and right to work
• Prior experience working with pupils on a 1:1 basis

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
