SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a school in the Truro area that are looking to appoint an STA (Specialist Teaching Assistant) to work within this school and provide support to both Teachers and children. You will be given additional responsibility such as managing the whole class under the direction of the Teacher and supporting a child on a 1:1 basis when they need it. The school is an SEMH provision providing education to pupils across primary year groups.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leading small groups of pupils or whole classes (where appropriate)
• Working on a 1:1 and small group basis with pupils
• Preparing and developing resources for learning activities that encourage child progression

• Full-Time Role 08:30am – 15:30pm

• Ages 5-11
• SEN – Social, Emotional, Mental Health
• Daily rate from GBP57

• Be able to commit to working the hours specified above
• Provide a child only workforce DBS on the update service or willing to pay for a new child only DBS (GBP40) and then subscribe to the update service (GBP13)
• Have no criminal convictions/cautions.
• If you have been a resident for less than 5 years in the UK a right to work visa (non-EU) and a criminal background check from any country resided in for 6 months or more with in the past 5 years must be provided.
