Are you seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant position for September 2019 that will provide you will invaluable experiences to enhance a future teacher training application?

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large Secondary school in Salford. Due to an increase in pupils requiring additional support this academic year, the school wish to expand their support department and appoint a full time SEN Teaching Assistant.

  • Full time SEN Teaching Assistant required.
  • Role available from September 2019, guaranteed for the remainder of the academic year (until July 2020).
  • Working with identified pupils with SEN including ADHD, ASC and SEMH.
  • Supporting students both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Earn up to £350 per week, depending on your previous experience.
  • Access to multiple CPD training courses from partner schools.

This SEN Teaching Assistant position will involve:

  • Supporting identified pupils with daily school life alongside their academic studies.
  • Work alongside senior teachers including the SENCO and Inclusion Manager.
  • Implement intervention sessions to improve behaviour and promote inclusion of all pupils throughout school.
  • Monitor pupils' process and record any significant improvements in students' behaviour or academic achievement.

Application requirements

  • The successful SEN Teaching Assistant must have previous experience working with young people who have SEN
  • Must have a strong understanding of how to support specific SEN within a school setting.
  • Any experience specifically with ASC or ADHD is desirable.

Located in central Salford, our client secondary school can easily be accessed via the A580 and the M602. For non-drivers, there are a number of public transportation links that lead directly to the school from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester.
