Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. As an integral part of our Special Educational Needs department, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, assisting them with academic tasks and personal development.
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and ensure students' progress is monitored effectively.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
- Assist in the preparation of materials and resources tailored to meet the specific needs of SEN students.
- Promote positive behavior management strategies and contribute to the maintenance of a safe and stimulating classroom environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
- A compassionate and patient nature, with a genuine commitment to supporting the learning and well-being of SEN students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- A proactive approach to learning and professional development, with a willingness to participate in training provided by the school.
- A positive attitude, adaptability, and resilience in the face of challenges.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
