Job description

Teaching Personnel is pleased to partner with a welcoming primary school in Salford seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small group support for Year 1 pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, starting in September.

Role Overview
As a Teaching Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with varied SEN needs
  • Assisting the class teacher in implementing personalised learning activities
  • Supporting the development, implementation, and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Promoting an inclusive and positive classroom environment
  • Collaborating with colleagues and external professionals to support each child’s progress

What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you should have:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A collaborative, team-focused approach
  • Willingness to undertake our free safeguarding training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
