Looking for a role with children in a holistic environment?
One of Teaching Personnel's Oftsed 'Good' primary schools in the Salford areas is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support a child on a temporary 1:1 basis!
The school has an early years provision and supports students up to age 11, who have profound and complex needs.
The provision provides a creative and engaging curriculum suited to their learning and personal needs, giving them access to a hydrotherapy pool, food tech facilities and even Forest school!
As Teaching Assistant, you'll support a student on a 1:1 fixed term basis, which may be extended dependent on funding.
You will support the student with managing their behaviours and emotional wellbeing as a part of Autism Spectrum Condition, and supporting them with sensory and language development with assistance from senior staff and therapists.
You must be comfortable with providing personal care if required. A Teaching Assistant should be resilient with a caring personality, and a genuine passion for working with children.
To be successful as Teaching Assistant, you must have experience supporting Autism Spectrum Condition and ideally have worked with children.
Any childcare related qualifications are a bonus and all other relevant experience will be considered.
Please be aware that all applicants will be subject to background checks and will need a current DBS certificate (update service registered).
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm approximately, but you may be offered additional duties and responsibilities outside of these hours.
The school require on and off support throughout the year depending on student intake and staffing needs, so there is always opportunity for contract extension and permanent roles for staff who are a great asset to the school.
If this opportunity sounds like something which you would really excel in, or if you want to hear about other Teaching Assistant vacancies, please send over your up to date CV.
