Head of Computing / IT

 

Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire

Start Date: 7th September 2026

 

A well-established Secondary School with a long history of strong leadership, ambitious teaching and consistent Ofsted “Good” inspection ratings is seeking a knowledgeable, dedicated and passionate Head of Computing to join their team!

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-regarded Secondary School within a highly motivated Computing / IT team.

 

The school is looking to appoint a committed Head of Department to lead a collegiate and enthusiastic team. The team consists of 3 teachers delivering IT across KS3. Business and Computing is taught to KS4 as an option class, alongside a BTEC in Digital Information Technology.

 

General responsibilities will include:

  • Curriculum planning
  • Staff development
  • Overseeing quality of teaching
  • Monitoring student progress
  • Leadership and management
