Job description

Learning Support Assistants Required – Southampton
£14.30 per hour | Full Time | Term Time Only

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to work full time in schools across Southampton.

This is a term-time-only role with the potential to become a long-term placement and may lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role:

  • Supporting students with additional needs in primary and secondary settings

  • Working hours typically 8:30am – 3:30pm (some variation depending on school)

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support

  • Assisting with behaviour management and tailored learning strategies

We Are Looking For:

  • Experience in education, healthcare, youth work, or similar settings

  • A genuine desire to support students with additional needs

  • Drivers or candidates with reliable public transport access

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
