Learning Support Assistant
Southampton and New Forest
£14.30 per hour
Full time | Term time only

Teaching Personnel are working with a number of schools across Southampton and the New Forest that require additional classroom support staff.

These schools support pupils with a range of additional needs including learning difficulties, SEMH needs, physical disabilities and pupils who have experienced trauma. As a Learning Support Assistant you will work closely with teaching staff to help pupils access learning and remain engaged throughout the school day.

The role may involve working with individual pupils or supporting small groups in lessons. Patience, consistency and a positive approach are important qualities for this position.

This opportunity would suit people with experience in areas such as sports coaching, youth work, care roles, support work or healthcare assistance.

These positions are long term and offered on a full time, term time only basis. In many cases schools offer permanent contracts to successful candidates.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
