Here at Teaching Personnel we are looking for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to support a child, with challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis. The school is in the Paignton area and will be Monday – Friday 08:30 – 16:30.
We are looking for a candidate who is confident, passionate and driven in supporting children and young people with additional needs. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years experience of working with children and this is preferably with SEN, particularly Challenging Behaviour & SEMH.
Candidates must have qualifications in GCSE grade C and above or equivalent. Having the following qualifications will strength your application:
- Team Teach
- MAPA
- Challenging behaviours in the classroom
- Classroom management
- NVQ SEN teaching Assistant
- BTEC level 3 in sports
- Other sports related qualifications
Having the above qualifications is not essential but it is desired.
The role is to start with immediate effect and we will require references from your two most recent employers as well as an enhanced Child Workforce only DBS on the Update Service.
