Job Duties:

  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development.
  • Working closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) for SEN students.
  • Assisting SEN students with classroom activities and ensuring their well-being.
  • Providing one-on-one support to SEN students as required.
  • Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Education:

GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).

Experience:

Prior experience working with SEN students in an educational setting.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of various special educational needs and how to support them.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional training or qualifications in SEN support.

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom setting within a school environment. The work may be physically demanding at times and may require standing or walking for extended periods.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
