Supply SEN Teaching Assistant –ASD Unit (Start September)
Location: Llandeilo & Surrounding areas
Start Date: September 2025
⏳ Contract: Supply with potential for permanent placement
Ages: Primary to Secondary learners

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a dedicated Supply Teaching Assistant to work within the a ASD Unit with 35 pupils, supporting learners in KS3 & KS4.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs in small group or 1:1 settings.

Assisting with tailored curriculum activities and therapeutic interventions.

Promoting emotional well-being, resilience, and positive behaviour.
-
Supporting teaching staff with lesson delivery and behaviour management.
-
Ensuring consistency and building trust through positive, stable relationships.
️ Essential Skills and Qualities
-
A calm, resilient, and patient approach.
-
Experience supporting children or young people with challenging behaviour.
-
Ability to form meaningful relationships with learners who may have experienced trauma or disruption.
-
Willingness to support a flexible, often non-traditional curriculum.
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Background in education, youth work, care, or similar roles is highly desirable.
-
Team Teach, MAPA, or similar behaviour management training is beneficial (but training can be provided).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
