SEN Teaching Assistant

Part time

Lancaster LA1

Start January 2026

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a primary school in the Lancaster LA1 area who are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant with specific experience supporting SEN children. This role will require you to work closely with a range of different SEN and will need an open minded and tailored approach to engaging with these children. There are a high number of children with EHCPs that will need patient and consistent support. This position is starting in January and has the potential to go full time for the right candidate.

What we are looking for:

  • Relevant experience with children with behavioural challenges and SEN  
  • Supporting pupils in small groups and 1:1 to help their development
  • Prior experience with implementing EHCPs
  • Understanding of the range of needs for different SEN
  • Based in the Lancaster area
  • A compassionate and dependable TA

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
