Additional Needs Assistant
Days: Tuesday – Friday
Hours: 8:50am – 3:30pm
Pay Rate: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Our client, a well-established SEN college based in Rawtenstall, is seeking an experienced Additional Needs Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people with Special Educational Needs to achieve their full potential.
The Role
As an Additional Needs Assistant, you will support learners following the college’s PACE Pathway, which focuses on Pathway to Adulthood, Citizenship and Employment. You will play a key role in promoting independence, personal growth and engagement in learning.
Key responsibilities include:

Providing tailored support to learners with a range of additional needs

Assisting with classroom and community-based learning activities

Promoting inclusion, communication and confidence among learners

Supporting life skills development and employability preparation

Working collaboratively with teaching and support staff
The Ideal Candidate

Must have previous experience supporting individuals with SEN
-
Demonstrates patience, empathy and a genuine commitment to inclusion

Confident working both independently and as part of a team

Passionate about helping young people progress towards adulthood and independence

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
