Salary: £90 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)


About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support students in Secondary Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools across the Wirral. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with a range of additional needs. You will help to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, helping students to access the curriculum and develop socially and emotionally.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Support students in managing their behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Help with classroom activities, preparation of resources, and general administrative tasks
  • Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Promote independence and confidence in students
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive school environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential)
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach, Autism Awareness) are desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
