SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant

Our client schools in Brighton and Hove and surrounding area's are currently looking to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants to support students with educational health care plans and varying special educational needs such as areas of social emotional mental health, behaviour, dyslexia, dyspraxia, autism and ADHD. If you are looking to support students on a 1:1 or small group basis this is the perfect job role for you. You must be able to easily adapt to situations, be attentive and communicate effectively within your team in order to maintain the high level of standards expected.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant SEN experience (PMLD, ASC, SLD or MLD) or qualifications is desired.
• A passion and enthusiasm to see pupils achieve their best potential
• Dedication to the needs of all your pupils, working with other staff members to offer emotional and academic support
• A Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willing apply for one
• Good interpersonal skills and confidence
• Punctual and reliable

We have positions that are full time, part time, temporary and permanent dependant on your availability and preferences. Teaching Personnel with partner schools throughout East Sussex covering the areas of Brighton, Crawley, Eastbourne, Worthing and so on.

If you are looking to support students on a 1:1 or small group basis this is the perfect job role for you. Applications are welcome form current Teaching assistants looking for a new position or those from a health and social care, psychology, youth work or coaching background looking to change career.

To be successful for this post you will need have a passion for working with young people, empathetic attitude, previous experience of employment in an educational setting is desirable but not essential. You will need to have a child workforce DBS, suitable references and eligibility to work in the UK to be eligible for the role of Teaching Assistant, or be willing to obtain one through us.
