Location: Cramlington
Contract: Full-time / Part-time
Salary: Competitive

Are you a passionate and dedicated educator eager to make a real difference in the lives of children with complex needs? We’re looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our specialist team at a nurturing, inclusive school committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.

About the School
Our school offers a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for children with diverse and complex needs, including autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, speech and language challenges, attachment, and trauma. Every pupil benefits from an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

We have a well-established Intervention Team on site, featuring therapists, rebound therapy experts, behaviour specialists, and learning mentors, all collaborating closely with teachers to deliver personalised support. Our therapy dog, Morag, also helps create a calm atmosphere for children dealing with anxiety.

The Role
As an SEN TA, you will:

  • Design and deliver engaging, personalised lessons that cater to different learning styles and developmental needs.
  • Foster a classroom environment that is safe, respectful, and inspires a love of learning.
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to implement EHCP goals and intervention strategies.
  • Regularly assess pupil progress and adjust your teaching approach accordingly.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents, carers, and external professionals.

  • A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience or a strong passion for supporting children with complex SEN.
  • Someone who understands and values inclusive, child-centred education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
