Teaching Personnel is recruiting passionate graduates for teaching assistant roles starting in the 2025/2026 academic year! You’ll support students with special educational needs (SEN), which may include mental health challenges, physical disabilities, or emotional and behavioural difficulties. Compassion, patience, and empathy are key to making a real difference. You’ll work with children and young people aged 5 to 16, helping shape their educational journey.


Position Overview:

  • Start date: September 2025

  • Locations: Bristol, Bath, and Gloucestershire

  • Typical hours: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (may vary by school) ⏰

  • Days: Monday to Friday, term-time only

  • Opportunity for a permanent contract for the right candidate ✔️


Your Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEN, one-to-one or in small groups

  • Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance classroom learning

  • Assist with tailored lessons that keep students engaged and focused

  • Help implement Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)

  • Build positive, supportive relationships with students ❤️

  • Aid in classroom tasks and learning activities as needed ️


Who We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience with SEN or challenging behaviour (any context) is highly valued

  • Genuine interest in education—whether you’re continuing your journey or starting fresh

  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills ️

  • Educational experience is a bonus but not essential — attitude and commitment matter most!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
