Unqualified Postgraduate Teaching Assistant
Locations: Bristol, Bath, and Gloucestershire

Daily Rate: £89 – £100

Teaching Personnel is recruiting dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our next cohort of Unqualified Postgraduate Teaching Assistants to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across a range of mainstream and specialist schools.
You’ll play a key role in nurturing and guiding students aged 5 to 16 who may have a variety of needs, including:

Mental health diagnoses

Physical disabilities
-
Communication challenges
-
Behavioural difficulties
A resilient, empathetic, and adaptable mindset is essential for this role.
Position Details:

Start Date: September 2025
-
Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (varies slightly by school)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, term-time only
-
Locations: Opportunities available in Bristol, Bath, and Gloucestershire

Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils with SEN in small groups or one-to-one
-
Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to enhance student development
-
Assist in delivering tailored lesson content and activities
-
Help implement and follow EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans)
-
Foster a safe, supportive and encouraging learning environment
-
Build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff
Ideal Candidate Profile:
-
Passionate about education and making a meaningful impact
-
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
-
Experience with SEN or challenging behaviour (desirable, but not essential)
-
Background in education, care, or sports coaching (preferred)
-
Adaptable approach to meet the varied needs of individual students
