Daily Rate: £89 – £100

Teaching Personnel is recruiting dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our next cohort of Unqualified Postgraduate Teaching Assistants to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across a range of mainstream and specialist schools.

You’ll play a key role in nurturing and guiding students aged 5 to 16 who may have a variety of needs, including:

  • Mental health diagnoses

  • Physical disabilities

  • Communication challenges

  • Behavioural difficulties

A resilient, empathetic, and adaptable mindset is essential for this role.


Position Details:

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (varies slightly by school)

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, term-time only

  • Locations: Opportunities available in Bristol, Bath, and Gloucestershire

  • Potential for Permanent Employment: For the right candidate


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEN in small groups or one-to-one

  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to enhance student development

  • Assist in delivering tailored lesson content and activities

  • Help implement and follow EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans)

  • Foster a safe, supportive and encouraging learning environment

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Passionate about education and making a meaningful impact

  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills

  • Experience with SEN or challenging behaviour (desirable, but not essential)

  • Background in education, care, or sports coaching (preferred)

  • Adaptable approach to meet the varied needs of individual students
