Position Overview: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing tailored support to students with SEN, enabling them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, assisting them with classwork, assignments, and learning activities across various subjects.
2. Collaborating closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
3. Supporting students in developing essential skills, including literacy, numeracy, communication, and social interaction, through targeted interventions and activities.
4. Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.
5. Monitoring student progress and behavior, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents/carers to support ongoing development and achievement.
6. Collaborating with external specialists and agencies, as required, to ensure students receive appropriate support and interventions.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with students with SEN, either in a school setting or a similar environment, is highly desirable.
• A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse needs and abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in responding to the individual needs and challenges of students with SEN.
• A commitment to promoting inclusion, equality, and diversity within the school community.

• Competitive salary of £1540 - £1900 per month, dependent on experience and qualifications.
