SEN Teaching Assistant – Flexible & Full-Time Roles

Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Salary: £80 – £95 per day
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Temp-to-perm
Start Date: Start from September 2025

At Teaching Personnel, we work closely with a wide range of welcoming and inclusive primary and secondary schools across Bournemouth and Dorset. Right now, we’re looking for caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team – either for day-to-day supply work or longer-term positions starting this September.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language needs

  • Assisting teachers with engaging lesson delivery and managing classroom behaviour

  • Helping implement personalised strategies to support student progress

  • Encouraging an inclusive, positive learning environment

  • Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to meet each child’s needs


We’d Love to Hear from You If You:

  • Have experience working with children or young people with SEN (in schools, youth work, or care settings)

  • Are patient, adaptable, and calm under pressure

  • Communicate well and work well in a team

  • Have (or are happy to get) a DBS on the Update Service

✅ Bonus if you have:

  • A relevant TA qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3)

  • Team Teach or similar behaviour management training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
