Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Salary: £80 – £95 a day
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Temp-to-perm
Start Date: Immediate starts available | Full-time roles from September 2025
Job Summary
Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and caring SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs across a range of primary and secondary schools in Bournemouth and throughout Dorset.
We’re currently experiencing high demand for day-to-day supply staff, with long-term and full-time positions starting in September 2025. Whether you're an experienced TA or just beginning your career in education, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN (including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs)

Assist teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management, and behaviour support

Implement tailored strategies and learning interventions
-
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment

Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff
What We’re Looking For
-
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in schools, youth work, or care settings)
-
Patience, adaptability, and a calm manner
-
Good communication and teamwork skills
-
A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through us)
Desirable:
-
TA qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3)

Team Teach or equivalent behaviour management training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
