Teaching Assistant

Full-time

Daily rate: £88 - £100 per day (dependent on experience).

Role: Immediate Start, Full time, Long-term, Monday – Friday (08:30 – 15:45), May 2024 ongoing.

Here at Teaching Personnel, we are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join one of our thriving Primary Schools, on an immediate, full-time, long-term basis. The school are Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ and are looking for someone to come in and work lead both 1:1 and small group interventions with KS2 learners, providing them additional support in core subjects. The school is in close proximity to both popular train stations and local bus stops, to make commuting easy.

The main responsibilities:

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading 1:1 and small group interventions, providing additional support to pupils

• You will need to liaise with the class teacher and ensure pupils are receiving differentiated work that suits the individual learners needs

• You will need to follow instructions given to you by the class teacher effectively, as well as being able to work on your own initiative

• You will be responsible for feeding back pupils academic and behavioural progress to both the class teachers and parents/carers

• You will need to undertake administrative tasks such as photocopying, laminating and marking class/homework

• You will need to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils at all times

• You will need to follow safeguarding and behavioural policies in order to maintain the learning environment for pupils

The requirements for this role:

• You must have experience supporting pupils in a school setting (Tutoring is also welcome)

• You must have a strong academic background, minimum Grade C in GCSE English and Math

• You must be passionate about working alongside children and dedicated to aiding their development both academically and behaviourally

• You must be able to easily build a positive rapport with both students and staff

• You must have a kind and nurturing nature, as well as a ‘Can do’ attitude

YOU MUST HAVE TWO OBTAINABLE RELEVANT REFERENCES

YOU MUST HAVE A CLEAR ENHANCED CHILD WORKFORCE DBS ON THE UPDATE SERVICE OR BE WILLLING TO PROCESS ONE THROUGH TEACHING PERSONNEL

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
