Special Educational Needs Teaching assistant/learning support assistant - Hounslow - Full time - September

At Teaching Personnel we are currently recruiting for a full time SEN teaching assistant to work with a student with high functioning autism and speech, language and communication difficulties.

You will be working full time with this student, providing them with educational, social, emotional and physical support within the school environment.

The role?

This full time position will involve working solely with a student with a variety of needs. Their is great importance on building a strong rapport with the student, accommodating to their ability and needs. You will work alongside the class teacher and other special educational needs support staff to create an inclusive and positive curriculum for the whole class.

This will include providing feedback and developmental reports on the student, they will be undergoing their EHCP and will require heavy involvement in the process.

The school?

It is a one form entry school that has created a haven for a positive education experience. The school has worked hard on creating a community that allows students to grow and develop in a number of different ways. As an Ofsted rated 'good' school they have enabled all students to progress educationally, socially and spiritually. They are able to express themselves in a number of ways through their vast curriculum and extra curriculum activities. With the inclusion of talent shows, activities demonstrating creative ability and an interest in drama and acting they are ensuring students have the space to develop and grow creatively.

Ideal candidate?

- Experienced working with students with special educational needs, specifically autism

- Additional CPD training such as team teach and Makaton preferred

- Willing to undergo a number of training sessions, including team teach, Makaton, understanding autism etc

- Looking for a full time role working solely with students with special educational needs

The pay rate is negotiable based on experience, qualifications and teaching ability.
