SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
We are recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time position supporting young people aged 10–17.
This role is available for an immediate start and offers the opportunity to work across both primary and secondary age ranges.
Working hours are 8.30am to 3.15pm, Monday to Friday, providing a consistent and structured working day.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting pupils with SEN and ASD on a 1:1 and small-group basis

Assisting the class teacher with learning activities and routines

Promoting engagement, communication and emotional regulation

Helping to create a safe, supportive and encouraging learning environment
Requirements

Have a minimum of 6 months’ childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN
-
Be patient, empathetic and resilient
-
Be confident working with pupils with ASD
-
Be reliable, proactive and committed to making a positive impact

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
