Job description

Teaching Assistant

School Based South of Salisbury

A lovely, welcoming school located just south of Salisbury is seeking a committed and caring Teaching Assistant to support a pupil joining the school from a challenging background.

The pupil has a level of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and will require a high level of support, particularly with transition into school, building positive and trusting relationships, and following a structured, personalised timetable (flow of the day).

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Reliable and consistent
  • Emotionally robust and calm under pressure
  • Nurturing, patient and relationship-focused
  • Confident working as part of a close partnership team
  • Able to support routines, structure and personalised learning plans

This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about making a real difference in a child’s life and helping them feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

Pay: £13–£14 per day
Recruitment: All vetting and recruitment will be carried out through Teaching Personnel.
Interview process: Initial interview will be with the Headteacher prior to appointment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
