Job description

We are looking to appoint SEN Teachers at a fantastic SEN school based in Coventry, the school provides support and education for children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) aged 4-16. They have a fantastic team of staff who are highly trained and dedicated; and they are looking for someone to join this team. The classes will be taught in small groups of a maximum of 8, and the children will be physically active and are likely to show some challenging behaviour.

The school have informed us that they are looking for a teacher to work with secondary aged children. The ideal candidate should:

  • Be committed to promoting equality in the classroom
  • Be confident in delivering the core curriculum to children with ASC
  • Have a desire to continue a career in SEN
  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT), Overseas Trained Teacher (OTT) or be an Unqualified Teacher with previous Secondary experience
  • Have an fun, engaging and enthusiastic personality
  • Having additional qualifications such as Team Teach or Autism Awareness would be advantageous but not required

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
