In this current climate schools will be in need of staff like never before. We are now recruiting for September to ensure schools have all the staff they need. We are seeking to appoint a SEN Teacher to deliver a range of subjects to students with Special Education Needs (SEN). This lovely school homes children aged between the ages of 7-19 years old and is a positive and vibrant learning community that aims to develop academic abilities, confidence and independence. As a SEN Class Teacher, your role will be to provide high quality, challenging and differentiated educational activities and experiences through the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum to enable pupils to achieve their full potential in all areas of learning.

About you

  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Qualified Teacher with QTS
  • Additional training would be beneficial (For example: TEAM TEACH, Autism Awareness or Managing challenging behaviour)
  • Passionate or an interest in SEN (Special Education Needs), Autism and Aspergers
  • Experience working within a SEN setting is desirable but not essential
  • Patience, enthusiasm and empathetic
  • Updated DBS or (willingness to purchase a new one)
  • Knowledge of SEN pupils
  • Positive and proactive
  • Own form of transport is desirable but not essential

You will be required to teach a variety of ages and support each individual student to progress and feel confident in their learning. As a SEN Teacher you will positively contribute to the overall programme of learning and ensure you provide a stimulating learning environment for students. You should maintain high expectations and aspirations for all pupils and ensure a safe and secure classroom at all times.
