English Teacher – KS3/KS4 Maternity Cover | Cardiff, Wales

Contract: Full-time, Maternity Cover (13th of April 2026 – April 2027)
Salary: £172.98 per day – Pay to scale

We are seeking a dynamic, committed, and enthusiastic English Teacher who will:

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum

• Assess, track, and report pupil progress

• Develop creative schemes of work and teaching resources

• Support extracurricular activities including productions, clubs, and trips

• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and enhance teaching quality

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in English or a related field

• Proven experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable)

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Strong commitment to safeguarding and student welfare

• Passion for literature, language, and inspiring young people
