English Teacher – KS3/KS4 Maternity Cover | Cardiff, Wales
Contract: Full-time, Maternity Cover (13th of April 2026 – April 2027)
Salary: £172.98 per day – Pay to scale

We are seeking a dynamic, committed, and enthusiastic English Teacher who will:

Strive for excellence in all aspects of teaching
Key Responsibilities
-
Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum

Assess, track, and report pupil progress

Develop creative schemes of work and teaching resources
-
Support extracurricular activities including productions, clubs, and trips
-
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and enhance teaching quality
Requirements
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in English or a related field
-
Proven experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable)

Excellent communication and organisational skills
-
Strong commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
-
Passion for literature, language, and inspiring young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
