Become a Local SEN Tutor in West Sussex with TP Tutors

Are you passionate about helping young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) achieve their full potential? Do you live in West Sussex? Join TP Tutors and make a genuine difference through personalised 1:1 or small group tuition in Maths, English, or other core subjects.

We’re looking for patient, empathetic, and committed individuals with experience in education, youth work, care, or SEN support who are dedicated to breaking down barriers to learning and building confidence.


Role: SEN Tutor (SEND Support Opportunities Available)
Location: West Sussex
Hours: Flexible – Part-Time or Full-Time


How You’ll Make a Difference

  • Deliver personalised lessons tailored to each learner’s needs and EHCP targets (where applicable)

  • Support students with a range of SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties

  • Create a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment

  • Provide tuition in learners’ homes or suitable community settings

  • Encourage engagement, independence, and measurable progress


✅ What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (education, mentoring, youth services, care, etc.)

  • Confidence supporting primary or secondary-aged learners

  • Based in West Sussex and able to travel locally or deliver online tuition

  • Compassionate, adaptable, and professional individuals

  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and learner wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
