Job description

Inspire Progress. Teach with Purpose. Join TP Tutors Today.

Are you an educator who lives for that “lightbulb moment” — when a student finally understands and their confidence begins to grow? Are you looking for a flexible teaching role where you can focus on one learner at a time, without the pressures of managing a full classroom?

TP Tutors is currently recruiting passionate and committed tutors to provide 1:1 Maths, English, or Science tuition (KS1–KS4) to primary and secondary students in your local area. Immediate start available.

Whether you are a qualified teacher, ECT, teaching assistant, cover supervisor, graduate, or experienced tutor, this opportunity allows you to step away from whole-class demands and make a direct, meaningful impact on a child’s progress.

Why Choose 1:1 Tutoring with TP Tutors?

One-to-one tuition is teaching at its most focused and rewarding. You have the time and space to truly understand how a student learns and adapt your approach to meet their individual needs.

With TP Tutors, you will:

✔ Deliver fully personalised lessons tailored to each student
Close learning gaps and reinforce core skills
✔ Rebuild academic confidence and encourage independence
✔ Work in calm, focused environments such as homes, libraries, or community spaces
✔ Set realistic, measurable targets and clearly track progress
✔ Build strong, positive, and impactful relationships

Your expertise can transform not only attainment levels, but also a young person’s belief in their own ability.

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals who:

  • Have experience working with children or young people in any capacity

  • Are confident supporting Maths, English, or Science (KS1–KS4)

  • Can adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles and needs

  • Have strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • Are patient, reliable, and committed to high standards

  • Take safeguarding and child welfare seriously

If you are passionate about education and want flexibility without compromising impact, we would love to hear from you.

Essential Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply — full support provided)

  • Right to work in the UK

  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable learners

Why Join TP Tutors?

£25–£30 per hour (PAYE — no umbrella company deductions)
Flexible hours to fit around your availability
Local placements to minimise travel time
Ongoing guidance from a dedicated consultant
Free CPD and professional development opportunities
Opportunities to work across a range of ages, subjects, and settings

This role is ideal for educators seeking better work-life balance while continuing to make a genuine difference.
