SEND Teacher – Permanent Position
Location: South Gloucestershire
A highly reputable, award-winning group of special educational needs (SEN) schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join the permanent staff team at one of their schools in South Gloucestershire. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within an inspiring, supportive, and innovative environment, delivering high-quality education to students with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEND.

Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies.

Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
-
Work collaboratively with colleagues, therapists, and external agencies to support student development.
-
Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and social development within the classroom.
-
Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and statutory requirements.
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
-
Proven experience teaching students with SEND in a school setting.
-
Strong understanding of current SEN legislation, guidance, and best practice.
-
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
-
Ability to differentiate learning and employ innovative teaching strategies.
-
Commitment to promoting inclusion, student wellbeing, and academic achievement.

Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
