Qualified Mainstream Teachers – Oxford
Are you currently teaching in a mainstream school and supporting children with additional or special needs?
Do you wish that you could spend more time with these students to help them achieve the best possible outcomes during their time in education?
Making a move from mainstream education into special needs education may sound daunting, but as a qualified teacher you will already have the skills you will need. Teaching Personnel are currently looking for Teachers who are ready for a change and are interested in working alongside children who have special educational needs.
In a specialist setting you will have small class sizes allowing you to focus your attention on each individual student and support from LSA’s who tend to work 1:1 with each student in the class allowing you to make a real difference.
As an SEN teacher you will still teach national curriculum subjects, mark and discuss work, prepare lessons and teaching materials, liaise with other professionals such as other teachers and medical staff, and work alongside the parents to help develop students’ confidence and abilities.
Patience and understanding, are the essential traits, every SEN teacher needs to have to thrive at their work. You will also need to be an excellent communicator, an organised, and creative team player to meet the responsibility of the job.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
