SEN Teacher - Immediate or September start
Location: Surrey, United Kingdom
Job Description: We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated SEN Teachers to join our team and make a difference in the lives of students with SEN in Surrey. As an SEN Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of students with complex needs and provide them with the support and guidance they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that are tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, and Speech and Language Disorders.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued, respected, and able to participate fully in their education.
- Differentiate instruction and provide additional support and resources as needed to ensure that all students can access the curriculum and make progress towards their learning goals.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
- Monitor and track student progress, identify areas for development, and provide feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and carers, and work in partnership with them to support students' educational and personal development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching students with SEN in a special school or mainstream setting.
- A thorough understanding of different SEN conditions and the ability to adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal development of students with SEN.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice in SEN education, including the SEND Code of Practice and the Equality Act 2010.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
