SEN Support Worker

Opportunity for an outstanding SEN support worker to join an outstanding SEN school in Peckham.

An extremely welcoming and inclusive secondary special needs school in Peckham is looking for a learning support assistant to join their team on a part time daily supply basis.

The school and the role:

• The school caters for students with severe learning difficulties, including autism, speech and language difficulties and some physical disabilities
• You will be called to work at this school as and when they have requirements – this could be anywhere between once and five times a week
• The hours are 9am – 4pm daily
• The classes are mixed key stage 3 or key stage 4 and are made up of maximum 8 students
• You will assist in class with literacy and numeracy tasks as well as sensory and gross/fine motor skills development
• Use PECs and Makaton for communication
• Assist with personal care where necessary including toileting

Teaching Personnel can offer a daily pay rate between GBP60 and GBP80 per day, as well as paying a national insurance and pension contribution for you as your direct employer – we do not use an umbrella company. You will also benefit from CPD training sessions with the school and if you recommend another member of staff to Teaching Personnel, you can earn a GBP50 bonus.
