SEN support teaching assistant -Bury

A primary school in Ramsbottom, Bury (BL0) is looking for a teaching assistant to work in the schools Year 1 class supporting a pupil with complex additional needs. This role will involve supporting a child on a 1:1 basis with an educational health care plan on a full time basis. The role will be starting on the 9th September and will carry on until the end of the academic year.

A successful primary school applicant should:

  • Be creative, enthusiastic and engaging
  • Have previous experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Be flexible and adaptable

The pupil has low functioning Autism and speech and language communication needs. The Head teacher is looking for a confident teaching assistant who has previous experience working with children with special educational needs to support his emotional needs. The role will involve supporting the pupils academic needs as they are behind in their learning and there may also be personal care involved in the role.
