Job description

Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity where a passion for teaching and making a change in young people’s lives is paramount.

We are looking for Qualified Teachers to work in our SEN  Secondary Schools in the Bolton Area. As a teacher you will a key part in shaping young people’s lives and creating a positive learning environment for young people who have moderate needs such as Autism and those who struggle so access mainstream school. This is the ideal opportunity for someone who is nurturing, proactive and passionate about helping young people achieve.

What you will be doing

Working with a class team to create a safe and welcoming learning environment

Create engaging lessons which accommodate for the differing needs within your classroom

Collaborating with the staff team and parents to ensure young people’s welfare and wellbeing

Behaviour management strategies using a calm approach

Track learner progress and provide constructive feedback

Comply with safeguarding and child protection requirements

You’re a great a fit if you have

Prior experience working with young people with SEN needs

A nurturing and empathetic approach, with great communication skills

Flexibility to work as part of a team

Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, parent and carers

A positive approach to teaching

Ability to support challenging behaviour and provide a high level of pastoral care

Requirements

✅ QTS or QTLS certificate

✅ Enhanced DBS on the update service

✅ Past employment references ( 2 years)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
