About the Role:

A specialist SEN school in Rochdale is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join their team immediately. This is a full-time role supporting pupils with complex learning needs, including autism, PMLD, and physical disabilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher, maintaining a positive and structured learning environment, and ensuring pupils are engaged and supported throughout the day.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes across a range of subjects, following pre-prepared lesson plans
  • Support pupils with a variety of complex needs, ensuring their safety and engagement
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to manage behaviour and learning
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and classroom activity
  • Uphold safeguarding and inclusion policies at all times

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working in an SEN setting or with pupils who have additional needs
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly and remain calm under pressure
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply)
  • Teaching or support qualifications are beneficial but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
