SEN Learning Support Assistant
Location: Flint (with potential travel to South Wirral)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Temporary with potential for long-term roles
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role
Teaching Personnel are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to join our team and support pupils in secondary schools across Flint and the surrounding area. This role will primarily involve working with students who have special educational needs (SEN), providing one-to-one support as well as small group interventions, to help them access the curriculum and achieve their potential.

As our partner schools are spread across Flint and South Wirral, flexibility to travel either by public transport or car will be essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
  • Support students both in-class and during targeted interventions.
  • Assist teachers in creating an inclusive learning environment.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence and independence.

Requirements

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in an SEN or secondary school setting.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Flexibility to work across different school settings (Flint and potentially South Wirral).
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
