Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – SEN Specialist School
Location: Andover
Term Time Only
Pay: £13.75 per hour
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist SEN school in Andover, supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing. You will play a vital role in helping students access education in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN
-
Assist with classroom activities and adapted learning tasks
-
Support pupils with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation
-
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
-
Follow individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
About You

Patient, caring, and reliable
-
Passionate about supporting children with SEN
-
Able to work well as part of a team
-
Experience working with children or SEN is desirable but not essential — training can be provided
-
A willingness to learn and adapt to individual pupil needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
