TAs/Learning Mentor/Youth Workers needed in West London for September start

  • Opportunities across primary and secondary working with SEMH and ASC
  • Positions available in Hayes, Uxbridge, West Drayton and across West London

If you are a conscientious, empathetic and experienced TA / Learning Mentor / Youth Worker, who enjoys working with young people on their emotional literacy and academic development, then this role is for you.

You will be working with a variety of age groups and abilities of pupil. As the schools we work with cater for Key Stages 1 to 5 and a variety of SEN including; Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Children with barriers to learning such as ill health. Therefore an empathetic and adaptable approach is paramount. You will be providing a vital service to our Education Centres based all over the Greater Manchester area so it is essential for the successful candidate to have access to a car 5 days a week, Monday to Friday for the duration of the Fixed Term Contract.

The role requires experience of working within Alternative Provisions; with a particular focus on PRUs, Secure Units and Residential care homes. Therefore, we are also looking for people who can build excellent relationships with children and young people who are otherwise disengaged from their studies; using these relationships to help re-engage and encourage children in to building a bright future for themselves. Ideally you will have a valid Teaching Assistant/PTTLS/Youth Work/Key worker background. However, we are prepared to accept applications from candidates who have the appropriate classroom experience.
