£150 – £230 per day
Full Time (4–5 days per week considered)
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join a secondary school in the Milton Keynes area. This is a full-time role, although applicants available for 4 days per week will also be considered.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher, an experienced instructor, or a recent graduate with strong musical knowledge to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive secondary school environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and creative music lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will help students develop their musical skills, creativity, and appreciation for music through both practical and theoretical learning.
Responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering engaging music lessons in line with the national curriculum

Teaching a range of musical skills including performance, composition, and music theory

Marking and assessing student work, providing constructive feedback
-
Supporting students with coursework and exam preparation where required
-
Encouraging student participation in music through ensembles, performances, and classroom activities

Maintaining strong classroom management and a positive learning environment

Contributing to the wider school music culture where possible (concerts, clubs, performances)
Requirements

Qualified Teachers with QTS

Experienced Music Teachers or Instructors

Music Graduates looking to gain teaching experience in secondary schools
The ideal candidate will have:

Strong subject knowledge in music performance and theory

Confidence teaching students aged 11–16

The ability to inspire and motivate students with different musical abilities

Good classroom management and communication skills
-
A passion for music education
