We are currently working with a large SEN school in Leeds who require a full time enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant.The successful candidate will complete a strong team and contribute to the school’s existing success (Ofsted Outstanding in 2016). The school is looking for enthusiastic and committed people who are able to relate well to young people with a range of complex needs including Severe Learning Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Physical Disabilities and Speech, Language and Communication Needs. You will be required to work collaboratively with a multi disciplinary team.
The successful applicant will provide high quality support for the learning, personal care, communication and physical needs of students, working across a range of ages and abilities (2-19). You should have experience of managing challenging behaviour and have a willingness to develop this further. You may also possess a Team Teach or equivalent training certificate. Teaching assistants also contribute towards students’ formal and informal assessment and help build effective relationships between home and school.
