SEN Teacher required in Chorley

An SEN School in Chorley are urgently looking for a Teacher to cover a maternity.

The role will be 5 days per week.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, hardworking, motivated and experienced in SEND. You will join a well-established team of professionals, who are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. 

 

The school is an all age Special School for pupils and students aged 2-19, catering mainly for pupils with severe learning difficulties or profound and multiple learning needs. In addition there are a number of pupils with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and a small population of pupils with complex needs. The school is small, with 90 pupils, but prides itself in making a big impact on the lives of the children and their families.

The ideal applicant will have had prior experience in supporting pupils with special needs in a special or mainstream setting. 

The appointed person will be required to work either on an individual basis with pupils, or with small groups of pupils in the classroom, they will be expected to work in all areas of the school including swimming and therapy sessions. They will have a good sense of humour, be flexible and open minded and enjoy working in a busy school environment where no two days are the same. They will also be willing to work as part of a committed team, working to the very high standards that the school requires.
