Role Overview: As a Full-Time SEMH Youth Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in the classroom, providing tailored support and guidance to students facing SEMH challenges. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning
  • Facilitating group activities and interventions to promote social skills and emotional well-being within the classroom.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Building positive relationships with students, families, and external support services

  • Passionate about supporting students with SEMH needs
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic in their approach
  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to think on their feet in challenging situations
  • Committed to fostering inclusivity and diversity in the classroom
  • Willing to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs preferred
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or youth work advantageous
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
